6:00 am Pickup from Adventure Inn – San Jose by Pacuare Whitewater
Rafting and Forward Tour (duration 11 hours – approximately
4 hours on the river)
6:30 – 8:15 am Travel between San Jose and “Exploration Center” (Siquirres)
8:15 – 9:00 am Breakfast at “Exploration Center”
9:00 – 9:30 am Travel from “Exploration Center” to River Access
9:30 – 10:15 am Preparation for the Descent (safety orientation, paddle practice)
10:15 – 14:15 pm River Descent (including lunch). (Marinda injures her knee going
through one of the rapids)
14:15 – 15:00 pm Arrive at our “Exploration Center” with time to shower, change
clothes, enjoy a beverage and reflect on the shared adventure.
3:00 – 5:30 pm Travel from “Exploration Center” to Hotel Rancho Cerro Azul,
La Fortuna

Marinda opts out due to her injured knee.

The afternoon was spent having Marinda’s knee x-rayed and
diagnosed at a local clinic in La Fortuna. The diagnosis was a
bad sprain.

the name of the boat is La Picolina. Just go to the bar at La Perla del
Sur in Sierpe, and ask for Don Jorge. He will show you to captain
Dago.]

8:00 am Devine Dolphin Day Tour (I cannot recommend this tour. We paid for
our guide to take us on a boat ride. Spent a little time in the water
and saw no dolphins. We briefly saw some hog-nose rays descending
and that was it)
Overnight: Casita Corcovado – Drake Bay
Wednesday 02March2016
7:00 am Boat transfer from the beach in Drake Bay to Sirena/Corcovado National
Park for a day hike in Sirena/Corcovado National Park. Boat transfer
back.
7:30 pm Night Tour with Tracie the Bug Lady (3 hours). I highly recommend this
tour, but be aware, that it must be booked weeks in advance as it is
very popular.
